The podcasts within yourself

‘ I don’t have air pods and do not want to get them as well.’

You look at me as if I am totally crazy. ‘Nowadays I can’t imagine living without them. I play music when I do sport, listen to podcasts on my bike or in my car and watch YouTube in the train. Otherwise, it’s all so boring.’

I love stillness, is what I think right now but I don’t feel the need to explain that to you.

For me stillness doesn’t mean doing nothing. I am always busy. Working in and on my business, coaching, facilitating, family time, horses, reading, writing, parents… I find the energy to keep doing al this by searching for the stillness around me and in myself. My inner stillness reminds me of the warm, liquid and glossy chocolate, that finds his way in the second you stick a fork into a lava cake.

For a long time this was my little secret, my inner lava cake. I take a few during listening and looking to you, without you noticing it or I gaining weight. The result is a deeper connection between you and me. I hear more than you tell me and sense what isn’t said. If I do so a short and sweet silence can be shared, I love it.

Why I tell you all this?

Because I discovered that this secret of mine can help others grow as well.

‘I am a lava cake,’ is what I said last week during the ‘who am I’ exercise of the Being on Mission Leadership Experience I was guiding. That sounds a bit crazy of course, but during my story I see the ‘Are you totally nuts’ looks of participants change into ‘Wow, I like to be something like that as well’.

During these three days the participants keep using the ‘lava cake’ word, we are laughing about it but all know what it means. Getting in touch with your inner peace and wisdom, get away of all external stimuli, to become able to experience them more intense than before.

During a coaching one of the participants, Margaret, discovers here ‘lava cake’. It’s a saloon door that opens to two sides from her heart. Outwards, to enjoy being there for others the pivots make overtime. She comes to the awareness that she needs to start using them more often daily towards her inner self, were a small Buddha represents the inner rest she is looking for.

Your inner wisdom is always with you. This isn’t vague but crystal clear and always truth. So find and listen to the podcasts within yourself, it’s an infinite offer specially for you. Ans if you listen to them. Give them a fitting name.

I am curious what other varieties of lava cake and saloon doors come up.

You can make me happy by letting me know.
